Twisty Pumpkin Block

Halloween is really sneaking up on me this year, but, I managed to sneak in a little mini quilt project to celebrate the spooky season that can stretch into November too.

This little twisty stem pumpkin block is super quick to whip up and can be used in a bunch of different projects. You could make a fall pillow, or add a wooden dowel and hang it on your front door.

It’s very scrap friendly, so you can make it using whatever fabric you have lying around.

There are three border size options in the pattern to make a finished block size of a 12’’, 14’’ or 16’’ square. Pictured here is the 12’’ block.

I decided to go with some 1’’ diagonal grid quilting. I used a Hera marker to mark my lines, pin basted, and had this little guy all quilted super fast!

This super fun, dark, dotty background is from Stacey (@twoterriersstudio), I love all the fun prints she picked for her pumpkin! Stacey has tested every single one of my patterns and I’m so thankful for her! You can check out her quilty adventures here!
