Launch Party!
Hello, from whiteplainsquilts.com!
I’m Brittany, and here’s two things I’ve learned about myself.
1) I really like making quilts.
2) I really don’t like making websites.
But! - After thoroughly overthinking everything about this site, I decided to make it happen. So, here we are! I’m so excited you’re joining me for this little lunch party. I mean launch party.

I’m looking forward to the opportunity to share more content through this new platform. I have so many plans for free patterns, tutorials and collaborations. Maybe even some future sew-alongs!
For now, here’s a couple things about me.
1) I’ve been married for nine years and have two beautiful, goofy boys and a wonderfully lazy dog who likes to bum rides in stroller baskets.
2) I have been quilting for about 4 years, and started designing my own patterns this Summer. I have also been a pattern tester for other designers.

3) I have a background in human resources, instructional design, training and I’m also an art major. Totally normal and not at all random, right? Grateful for all of it because they’re all experiences and skills that are very helpful through the pattern design process.
4) I’ve designed and released three patterns so far and it’s been such a fun experience, but the best part is the amazing community of quilters, fabric shop owners, pattern writers and fabric designers that I’ve been able to connect with.
5) I love to draw, and have a goal to one day make a quilt from fabric I designed myself.
