Patchy Pumpkin Farm Quilt
September is here!
My favorite time of the year is approaching! . I feel like Fall in Michigan is a good solid 3 week span. The season doesn’t last long, but boy, it is a good one. But, you’re not here to hear about that! It’s Patchy Pumpkin Farm release day! So let’s jump into the details!
If you’ve been following my quilting adventures for a while, you may remember the Christmas Tree Farm quilt! I’ve known I wanted to do a Fall version for a long time, and I’m SO excited the day is finally here! (Honestly, don’t tell Christmas Tree Farm, but I kinda like this one more.)
I wanted to design a pattern for Fall that could be easily adapted to being Halloween-ish or not Halloween-ish at all. Obviously, I chose to go the Halloween route with the Art Gallery Fabrics Spooky and Sweeter collection.
Here are the fabrics I used for the cover quilt version:
Fabric A: AGF Spooky ‘n Sweeter - Jack-’o-lanters
Fabric B: AGF Spooky ‘n Sweeter - Crossed Bones Night
Fabric C: AGF Spooky ‘n Sweeter - Mister No Body
Fabric D: AGF Spooky ‘n Sweeter - Pick-a-Boo Candied
Fabric E: AGF Spooky ‘n Sweeter - Witch’s Wardrobe Sweet
Fabric F: AGF Spooky ‘n Sweeter - Winging it Bright
Fabric G: AGF Spooky ‘n Sweeter - Stars Aligned Treat
Fabric H: AGF Spooky ‘n Sweeter - Winging It Dim
Fabric I: AGF Pure Solids - Chocolate
Fabric J: AGF Pure Solids - Cabernet
Fabric K: AGF Pure Solids - Bewitched
Fabric L: AGF Pure Solids - Caviar
Fabric M: AGF Pure Solids - Light Gray
Fabric N: AGF Pure Solids - Moonstone
Background: AGF Pure Solids - Sweet Macadamia
Backing - Cotton+Steel Basics - Freckles (Licorice)
This pattern comes together so much faster than I thought it would! Real talk - If you’re intimidated by the truck, I’ll tell you this. The pattern is a hefty twenty-eight pages long and packed with diagrams for every step. The truck is made with all basic piecing. Take it one step at a time, and you totally got this.
The pattern comes with labels for all the fabric cuts so you’re not wasting time looking for the right one or losing track of all the pieces you worked so hard to cut! It also includes a Fabric Key page where you can pin or staple little swatches to easily reference which is which.
The super fun spider web quilting on my version was done by Katie at Third Coast Quilting. The pantograph is Charolette’s Web.
I had so much fun designing this pattern. This was such a fun way to kick off the season! I hope you love this pattern! Find it here!
Happy Quilting!
