Fly Free Quilt - The Gloria Version

I love how this Fly Free Quilt turned out. I used fabrics from the “Gloria” collection by Maureen Cracknell for Art Gallery Fabrics. The colors of this collection are so rich and full of life. I think they paired so wonderfully with this pattern.

In fact, I loved this quilt so much I wanted to give the pattern an upgrade with a new cover quilt.

Download the updated Fly Free pattern here.

This quilt pattern was designed to be a fast and fun make with little brain power required. I designed this pattern after working on an intricate project, when I needed to just sew without thinking and zone out a bit. Fly Free is a pre-cut friendly pattern, written for 10’’ pre-cut packs.

The quilting was done by Third Coast Quilting and the pantograph is “60’s Mod Butterfly.” I loved how the retro feel of the pantograph complimented the vintage inspired prints of the collection.

This quilt was also featured in the Art Gallery Fabrics LookBook for the Gloria collection, and ended up in Quiltmania magazine in an AGF ad!

You can see the original Fly Free Quilt I made for my boys here.

I hope you love the pattern! I’d love to see what you make with it. Share your creation on Instagram using #flyfreequilt.

Happy Quilting!
